1. Jeanne Calment, the oldest person ever recorded, born in Arles, France on February 21, 1875 and died in Arles on August 4, 1997 at 122, was alive at the same time as both me and Cornelius Vanderbilt, who was born in 1794
Haha I tried to find the most ridiculous one, she was also alive at the same time as Charles Darwin and Karl Marx
There's also Horace Binney, a U.S. representative born in 1780, and Marie-Anne Gaboury, the first white woman to settle in Western Canada, born in 1780. Jeanne Calment was alive at the same time as all of them and me
Haha there is apparently a band called The the.
3. "Shenandoah valley was just a jeopardy answer on a question regarding the civil war both and south vying for the fertile valley"

5. "Diamond claims that 1000 of the worlds 6000 languages are in New Guinea!!!!"
I had no idea, that is absolutely insane!!!!!!!
6. I could not wrap my head around that and I was really curious as to why that would be, so I looked it up and I found this really good thread with some really interesting answers and a high level language discussion:
https://www.reddit.com/r/linguistics/comments/8768ku/why_does_papua_new_guinea_have_so_many_languages/
7. Haha I stumbled upon this on Spotify when a song from this guy about Charlottesville popped up, this is utterly insane:
And I found he has a song about Harrisonburg!!!!
Haha it's pretty underwhelming unfortunately. But I love the insanity of the whole thing.
8. This was really interesting and good clarifying information:
9. This was absolutely amazing, I had no idea a passenger plane had gone from New York to London in 2 hours 52 minutes 59 seconds!!!!!!! That is an insane record, it is even more insane that that happened all the way back in 1996:
